Please note, that plans are flexible and subject to adjustments due to local weather and unforeseen circumstances. Occasionally, the tour may be run in reverse order, or we may switch the activities of different days (e.g., doing day one on day five). Additionally, you're welcome to take a half or full day off to swim or explore at your leisure, instead of participating in the scheduled bike tour.

We will organize your pick-up from Zadar for a scenic two-hour drive to our charming seaside hotel accommodation in Jablanac. Pick-up times will be coordinated before your arrival, typically around 3 PM. Private groups also have the option of pick-up from Rijeka included in the package, or from Zagreb or Split airports for a small additional fee.

Upon arrival and check-in, you’ll be welcomed with a delicious dinner where we’ll present the itinerary and program for the week ahead.

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll embark on a 40-minute drive to Mountain House Zavižan, located at an altitude of 1,645 meters in North Velebit National Park, Croatia’s youngest national park established in 1999. This area is home to a botanical garden featuring over 300 plant species, founded in 1967.

From Zavižan, enjoy breathtaking views of the nearby islands before we begin our biking along a scenic gravel road. The trail winds through the national park, revealing vibrant flower meadows, dense lush forests, jagged limestone peaks, and sinkholes.

We’ll pause for a delightful lunch at one of the picturesque resting points before reaching Veliki Alan mountain pass and Mountain House Alan. At an altitude of 1,340 meters, the views open up once again toward the islands. From here, we’ll descend to sea level via a stunning master-built road, passing through quaint villages along the way. Our end of cycling is in the Hotel where this road finishes and we’ll be rewarded by a well-deserved dinner.

After a tasty breakfast, we’ll take a short 20-minute transfer to Veliki Alan (1,340m), the starting point for our day’s adventure. From here, we’ll cycle along the breathtaking mountain roads of Velebit Nature Park. Our first stop will be at Mountain House Mrkvište, where we’ll take a short break before continuing to explore the stunning landscapes of this majestic mountain range.

Pedaling through gravel roads surrounded by lush greenery, we’ll arrive at another mountain pass where the views open up to the sea, this time from an altitude of 924 meters. This area, known as Stara Vrata (Old Doors), is the narrowest point between the Adriatic Sea and the fields of the Lika region. The area’s rich history includes roads built from the 18th century to modern times, as well as remnants of ancient Roman roads, highlighting its significance as a vital trading and transportation route over the centuries.

We’ll finish our ride in the coastal town of Karlobag, where a short 30 minute transfer will bring us back to our hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel, offering a relaxing end to an adventurous day.

Today, we’ll take a break from the high mountains and explore the unique landscapes of Pag Island. After a delicious breakfast, a short 20-minute transfer will bring us to the ferry port of Prizna, where we’ll board a 15-minute ferry ride to the island. From there, we’ll cycle at an easier pace, starting on paved roads before transitioning to gravel paths.

Our first stop will be in Stara Novalja, a charming town known for its peaceful bays and rich cultural history. Here, we’ll take a short swim break to refresh and enjoy the crystal-clear waters. Continuing our journey, we’ll pedal toward the famous olive groves of Lun. These ancient groves, some of which are over a thousand years old, are a testament to the island’s agricultural heritage and offer a serene and picturesque backdrop for our ride.

Transfer back to our Hotel.

After yesterday’s lighter trek on Pag Island, today we’ll head for a truly iconic adventure. Following a hearty breakfast, we’ll embark on our longest transfer of the trip—a 1.5-hour drive to the starting point of Majstorska Cesta (Master Craftsman’s Road), one of the most beautiful mountain roads and passes on the Velebit Mountains.

We’ll begin in the village of Sveti Rok and pedal along the historic Majstorska Cesta, constructed in the early 19th century and now listed as Croatian cultural heritage. The road’s name speaks to its exceptional design and engineering. Along the way, we’ll ascend to Mali Alan pass, where the views are breathtaking. From here, you’ll see not only the islands but also the backlands of Zadar and the dramatic Tulove Grede—a striking rock formation steeped in folklore, said to be the home of dragons and fairies.

Descending from the pass, we’ll arrive at the junction near Obrovac and continue along a scenic road that winds beside the Zrmanja River canyon, leading us to a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking the canyon’s dramatic landscapes. This river is renowned for its emerald-green waters and has been the setting for many scenes in famous movies, including "Winnetou." From Obrovac, we’ll continue cycling toward Rovanjska, stopping at several scenic viewpoints along the way to take in the stunning vistas.

Our day will conclude with a refreshing drink at our finishing point in Rovanjska before a 1-hour 20-minute transfer back to the hotel, where a well-deserved dinner awaits.

After yesterday’s long adventure, today we’ll take a relaxing yet rewarding ride on the beautiful island of Rab. Following breakfast, a short 15-minute ferry ride will bring us to the island, where we’ll cycle some of the best roads Rab has to offer.

Our journey begins with a visit to the picturesque town of Rab, known for its medieval architecture, charming squares, and historic bell towers. From there, we’ll head toward the lush greenery of the Kalifront Peninsula and the Dundovo Forest. This area is home to one of the largest preserved holm oak forests in the Mediterranean, offering shaded paths and a tranquil atmosphere perfect for cycling.

The trail will lead us further through the island’s central hills, revealing stunning vistas of the Fruga Hill fields. These landscapes showcase the island’s unique geology, including eroded limestone formations and dramatic contrasts between rugged terrain and lush greenery.

As we descend, we’ll arrive at a pristine white sandy beach where we’ll take a well-deserved swim break to cool off. Throughout the day, we plan to include several swim stops, allowing you to enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic. After our exploration, we’ll return to Jablanac, arriving in time for another delightful dinner at the hotel.

Our final cycling day begins with a familiar breakfast overlooking the sea. Afterward, we’ll take a 40-minute drive to Zavižan, where our adventure started earlier in the week. This time, we’ll head north, cycling along scenic mountain roads that pass through small, charming villages nestled in the Velebit range.

We’ll ascend to the mountain pass of Vratnik, where panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea and surrounding landscapes provide a perfect photo opportunity. From here, we’ll enjoy a thrilling descent into the historic town of Senj. Known for its rich maritime history and the iconic Nehaj Fortress, Senj offers a glimpse into Croatia’s medieval past. The fortress, built in the 16th century, was a stronghold against Ottoman invasions and is now a symbol of the town’s resilience.

The cycling trail itself is a mix of smooth roads and rugged terrain, showcasing the dramatic contrasts of the Velebit region. Along the way, you’ll encounter stunning vistas, diverse flora, and traces of the area’s cultural heritage.

After exploring Senj, we’ll take a 30-minute drive back to Jablanac, where we’ll conclude our journey with a celebratory dinner, reflecting on a week of incredible adventures.
